Plum shades are my favorite when it comes to lip colors. So when I saw the swatches of MAC Private Party lipstick from the Knight Divine Collection I knew I had to pick it up! MAC Private Party is Limited Edition and retails for 1100 INR for 3g!
My Thoughts On The Product
MAC Private Party is described as "dirty plum mauve" with a satin finish. Its a unique shade and I don't have anything quite like it in my entire collection and I do have my share of plums! Don't be fooled by the shade in the tube, though it looks quite purple it comes out gorgeous on lips and is very flattering especially on Indian skin tones.
The packaging is gorgeous and comes with gold lettering instead of plain matte black of regular line lipsticks. The lipstick tube looks absolutely gorgeous and so very elegant! I am a sucker for classy and elegant packaging! Love!
Private Party belongs to Satin finish and glides like butter on lips. Its highly pigmented and creamy in nature and gives will opaque finish in just one swipe. I have never tried satin finish lipsticks from MAC but I am surprised how comfortable and moisturizing the formula feels on the lips! My lips have been very dry past week but this lipstick did not settle into fine lines or aggravate the dryness in anyway. I didn't even have to use a lip balm beneath which is incredible! Very impressed with the formula!
I get about 4 to 5 hours of wear with in between meals and 6 hours of wear without any meals which is amazing. Its highly pigmented shade so it will cover any pigmentation on lips and is perfect for every skin tone. Over all a gorgeous shade and I am glad I picked it up! If you want this shade run to your nearest MAC counter and hopefully you'll get lucky!
Closest dupe for Private Party I found was Amorous which is again satin finish and a touch more pink.
