Mario Badescu Rose Hips Nourishing Oil Review

Hey Everyone!

With the onset of winters my skin has become more and more dry and dehydrated. This is when I decided to give Mario Badescu Rose Hips Nourishing Oil a try and boy I am glad I did! Previously I have tried Clarin's Lotus Oil which was specifically for oily to combination skin but felt it quite heavy on the skin but Mario Badescu Rose Hips Nourishing Oil is quite extra ordinary!

Mario Badescu Rose Hips Nourishing Oil
Benefits:-
This lightweight, quickly absorbed facial oil is designed to reduce flakiness and surface dehydration. A few drops used twice daily under your moisturizer will improve the texture and hydration of the skin. High in antioxidant Vitamin C. Very gentle and non-irritating, even on the most sensitive skin.
How To Use:- After cleansing and toning, massage 2-3 drops on face and neck avoiding eye area. Follow with moisturizer or night cream.
Beauty Tip:- Apply a few drops before your favorite moisture mask for increased moisturization and nourishment.
Ingredients:- Rose Hips Extract,Propylene Glycol,Glycerin,Germall

As I mentioned in my preview post I received few samples of Mario Badescu range and I have heard a lot of good things about his products so was quite excited to try them! Rose Hips Nourishing Oil comes in standard 30ml plastic bottle. The packaging of all Mario Badescu products is very ordinary and if you are someone who loves fancy packaging then you'll definitely be disappointed. I really don't care about the packaging as long as its hygienic and serves the purpose!

Rose Hips oil is designed for Combination/Dry/Sensitive skin types as mentioned on the bottle. I have combination skin and this oil works extremely well for me. When I first used I was pleasantly surprised by how light weight it felt on my skin, for a second I thought its plain yellow water! Yeah that's how light weight it feels on the skin! The oil does not have any fragrance that I could detect and is light mustard yellow in color. I take 3 to 4 drops of this oil and its sufficient for the entire face. It gets absorbed in seconds and leaves no oily residue behind!

I use this oil mainly in the night time after my toner and the results are amazing! In the morning my face looks plump, well rested, the skin look tone looks even and radiant! The pores look smaller and overall the face looks bright. Usually when I wake up my face looks a tad bit oily and shiny but since I started using this oil there is absolutely no shine or extra oiliness. When I use this oil in the night time I actually am looking forward to see my face in the mirror the next morning! I do get a lot of dry patches around my mouth and crevices of nose but this oil takes care of them. I do have acne prone skin and this oil did not break me out which is a huge plus!

I have been using it for last two weeks and you can see I still have quite a lot left which will easily last me for another month! I might pick up the full size bottle later. I am now also very keen on trying Josie Maran's Argan Oil and Tarte Maracuja Oil both of them have great reviews. Hoping to get my hands on them soon!

Even though I have acne prone skin and if you would have asked me a year back using oil on face was a big no-no but I have come to understand the science behind good healthy skin and it is proper hydration and I tend to continue using oils and hydrating serums to maintain the healthy of my skin especially since now I am in my early thirties and my skin tends to become dehydrated and dull!

Rating:- 4.5 out of 5

Mario Badescu Rose Hips Nourishing Oil retails for 20$ for 30ml, currently unavailable locally but the products are available on other international sites like luxola.com, beautybay.com etc

I hope the review was helpful, until next time take care and stay beautiful!
