Nars Mata Hari Blush: Review, Swatches and FOTD

Hey Everyone!

Nars Matahari Blush

Today I'll be reviewing Nars Mata Hari Blush which is described as "rose petal pink" and retails for 29$ for 4.6 gms

Previously I have reviewed Nars Blush in Lovejoy, click on the link to check out the review. Nars blushes come in standard nars rubberized matte black packaging. The size of the blush is quite small and handy so it can easily fit into travel cases or handbags. However this kind of rubberized packaging attracts a lot of dirt and dust particles and finger prints so one has to take care to clean it regularly.

Nars Matahari Blush Review

The shade Mata Hari is a stunning pink with cool undertones with satin finish. Even though its a satin finish it almost feel matte there are no obvious glitter or shimmer. The shade is intensely pigmented and a little goes a long way. For girls with fair to medium skin tones you just need a touch of the brush for the color to show on the skin and for those with medium to dark skin tones couple of dabs should be enough!

The blush blends beautifully on the skin which is extremely important especially for blushes with such high pigmentation! Out of all the blushes in my collection this is one of the most longest wearing blushes and gives 9 to 10 hours of wear with very little fading!

Nars Matahari

Even though it has cool under tones I feel it looks amazing on warm to medium skin tones. It the perfect blush if you want to brighten up the face without looking made up! Usually it is said that warm blushes look better on warm skin tones but on the contrary I feel cool under tone blushes look more flattering on warm skin tones since they balance out the yellow undertones and brighten the face beautifully!

Nars Matahari Blush Swatch

This is how the blush looks on my NC40-42 skin tone. On face I have Lakme CC Cream in the shade Bronze, Colorbar Stick Concealer in shade Almond, set the concealer and rest of the face with Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in the shade 009 Amber. On lips I have Loreal Color Riche Lipstick in Beige Creme and lined eyes with Essence Gel Liner in Midnight in Paris.

I cannot recommend this blush enough! This is a must have pink blush in your kitty, if you only want to choose one blush from Nars it got to be Mata Hari!

I picked up mine from StrawberryNet, infact I picked up all my Nars items from there and never had any issues. I highly recommend the site for international brand products especially the ones which are not available in India.

Hope the review was helpful, until next time take care and stay beautiful!
